Inspired by a coastal artwork by @matthewgraemejohnson of a French shoreline, the palette was drawn directly from the art itself. Every layer of the room was then considered in response; extending its tones into a cohesive, restful retreat.

The Founder Story: The Shifts and Turns

This marked the beginning of a new chapter for Wholehearted Studio. The Inside Out magazine competition became the catalyst that set this next season in motion. And now, a new challenge begins: evolving the business into its next season, where our aim is to grow and deliver an even more thoughtful service for our clients.

P.S. Fun fact, the Airbnb I stayed in for the Inside Out mag comp had roadworks happening right on its doorstep all night long, so I only had two hours sleep the day of the competition.

It’s been a little while since I last shared my ho

It’s been a little while since I last shared my home, Oxleigh House, and somewhere along the way, it has quietly settled into itself.

Renovations are (almost) complete; just a little landscaping still to come and new cabinetry later on down the track. But, for now, I’m simply enjoying it as it is which is a nice change!

Stanley is a thoughtfully designed private retreat, tucked within the Brisbane suburbs, where rich walnut timber, striking green marble and a quiet sense of luxury come together effortlessly.

From styling baby showers for friends and hand-making bunting, to the unexpected open doors that followed. A chapter filled with plenty of laughs and just as many tears... but meaningful memories all the same.

As promised, in the lead-up to Wholehearted Studio’s birthday (which happens to fall right after my actual birthday and just before Mother’s Day — I really should have spaced that out better. lol.), we’ll be sharing the stories of how Wholehearted Studio came to be.
