A highlight this year has been working for @zone1p A highlight this year has been working for @zone1projects to look after the styling and creative direction of the shoot of their latest completed build, Stanley. A project of this scale involves months of thoughtful preparation; a LOT of coordination, hundreds of emails, and curating objects and soft furnishings that bring depth and character to a home that is (in all honesty) already a masterpiece. If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll know how passionate we are about championing local artisans in every project. A special thanks to @houndandclay and @nioka.clay for supplying some of the most beautiful ceramic pieces. You’ll get a glimpse of some of the stunning, high-end linen used in the shoot supplied by @halemercantile, other beautiful design pieces from @trit.house and artwork from @studiogallerygroup. We’ll be sharing more of this home over the coming weeks, but for now, take a look at our shoot day prep! At the beautiful Hazlewood House, our role was to introduce an additional layer of styling in preparation for its editorial feature in Inside Out magazine. Finishing touches from iconic Australian brands including @jardanfurniture and @andclay.co, along with pieces from talented independent Australian artists, bring a sense of completeness, warmth, and individuality to this already stunning home. There’s something about setting up my Christmas tr There’s something about setting up my Christmas tree. Last weekend I spent a day putting together this beautiful @balsamhillau Silverado Slim. With my 3.1m ceilings, this 2.7m tree fits the space perfectly and she’s settled in so nicely in the corner of my very “lived in” living room. I styled it with the handcrafted, light-up Capiz Star topper and delicate gold and ivory Roaring Twenties glass ornaments, all from @balsamhillau. Then I added my own flocked, velvety baubles in chocolate and ivory to finish the look. You’ll also notice that this year’s gift wrap and ribbon subtly echo some of my favourite trending colours and fashion fabrics. I love how it all came together.
