We acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi people, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations.

A lot can happen in a single year—and this one wel A lot can happen in a single year—and this one well and truly proved it.

This year we moved into our new studio, a space that has gradually evolved from four blank walls into something that feels unmistakably like home.

We streamlined the way we manage projects, reshaping the way we work with the goal to serve our clients with even more clarity and care.

And our work… it travelled far and wide! This year it found its way into The Design Files, Home Beautiful (more than once), Adore Magazine, Belle Magazine, The Local Project, a European book, and a constellation of online features.

There were more belly laughs in the studio than any year before, and miraculously; I found a healthier balance between the business and my personal life. I took my first proper holiday in 12 years and managed to stay offline for most of it. (And came back refreshed with lots of ideas for our clients!)

But the most meaningful change didn’t come from the usual accolades. It came from the everyday rhythm of steady work, from the gratitude expressed by our clients, and from the privilege of being trusted again and again to bring their projects to life.

2025 will forever feel like the year that set the tone for all the good still to come in the years ahead! Thanks for celebrating this with us on socials and telling your friends about us.

Much love,
Hayley

We are all about gifting that's both useful and me We are all about gifting that's both useful and meaningful. Here are a few simple ways (and ideas!) of how we’re approaching gifting this Christmas to keep it meaningful and heartfelt:

— Support local makers and small businesses where you can.
— Consider reusable or handmade wrapping options.
— Give experiences or time together instead of just things.
— Add a handwritten note to make it personal.

Here are some beautiful stores and brands to help you support local if you are near us on the Sunshine Coast. And if you aren't local to us hopefully these ideas help prompt you to think of an equivalent for your own postcode!

1. @itssundaystill linen journals and planners. They are premium small-batch produced journals by a local Sunshine Coast business, and we love them! (Pictured above!)
2. @elbadi_ for vintage pieces and my favourite Drift candles.
3. @thegeneralstorepalmwoods is full of handmade treasures.
4. @yandina_country_markets if full of local and handmade stall holders. The markets are on every Saturday in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast.
5. @nioka.clay and @tessmmiller have ceramics available on their online stores. Just DM to ask if you can do local pick up or express postage.
6. Book a dinner, class, or voucher at my favourite restaurants @the_spirithouse, @mapleton.pub or @sumyungguys
7. Book a painting class at @artschool.co
8. Visit @berkelouw_books_eumundi to find the perfect book. I am currently loving 'Nature People' by @cesar_on_safari, @lifeunhurried, and Creative Homes - Belgium.
9. A night away on @airbnb. I love @little_olive_eco_cabin.
10. Artwork, ceramics, or gifts from @stevenstreetgallery or @artnuvobuderim.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately on the imp I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately on the impacts of overusing social media and technology, and it’s been confronting in ways I didn’t expect.

When tech is so deeply embedded in our work lives, it becomes even harder to recognise just how much time we spend online.

With the holiday break approaching, we’ve put together a list of practical tips that may help if you’re hoping to step back from your phone, emails, socials and screens... even just a little.
Welcome to our home—my son’s and my little slice o Welcome to our home—my son’s and my little slice of paradise. Take a wander through this carousel of my favourite moments from this year, beautifully captured by one of my favourite photographers, @creative.mediahouse.

Since moving in back in 2014, I’ve been doing the place up slowly, one or two jobs each year. All year long I save, chip away at the never-ending restoration to-do list, and then spend my Christmas holidays tackling whatever project is next.

This year, the list is looking a little lighter; I have just a few small jobs in mind. It might finally be the year I spend more time at the beach and the farm instead! (I think I’ve had enough menty b’s for one year.) 🤣

Swipe all the way to the end to see the state the house was in when I bought it. It honestly feels like a miracle to now have a home I’m proud of… but sometimes miracles just take some hard work and time. ✨

P.S. I am so thankful for everyone (trades and friends) who have worked with me on my house… I think we’re up in the hundreds now of people who have helped me on it!
It’s been one year since I first started doing up It’s been one year since I first started doing up our new studio... and boy has it been a very, mighty year! So grateful to all our brand partners who helped me pull this new studio together last Christmas holidays. This humble space has transformed the way we work and I can’t wait to add more character and creativity to it next year.

Come behind the scenes on install day for one our Come behind the scenes on install day for one our styling projects we completed this year!

You’d be surprised by just how many moving parts go into pulling a project like this together; from mood boards and room mock-ups, to furniture sourcing, custom artwork, and a delivery and install schedule timed down to the minute. It’s quite an art!

More to come in 2026!
