Carlotta and Gee
After more than a decade, the primary bedroom of Hayley’s 1930s Queensland was due for a refresh. The project was less about replacing what existed, and more about rethinking how the space functioned and felt. The goal was to create a room that balanced practicality with warmth, using considered materials, layered textures, and a fresh but timeless colour palette to reset the space without overcomplicating it.
The project centred around the Noosa Bed from Sleeping Giant Australia, upholstered in a cocoa-toned Belgian linen slipcover with a gas-lift base for integrated storage. From there, the styling unfolded through tactile additions, including a bouclé rug, a natural rattan accent chair, and the hero elements of the shoot: bedding from Australian brand Carlotta and Gee in Pinot Gingham and Yellow Stripes, which established a playful, sun-washed palette and tied the room together beautifully.
